Know whom to contact at your institution should you or your animal research come under attack:
- If you not are already aware of whom to contact at your institution, find out as soon as possible. It is important to have the most current information regarding your institution’s plan and point of contact should you find yourself under attack.

Does your institution know how to respond on your behalf:
- Institutions should have an administrative plan in place should one of their researchers become attacked by an animal rights group. The researcher should know whom to contact as soon as they become under attack (e.g. institution leader, security, public relations, etc.). It is important to talk to your institution’s leadership to learn your institution’s plan of action.
