The 65th Annual Meeting will be presented in person at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California. ACNP will offer a registration option for members and invited attendees who cannot attend the annual meeting in-person, which will allow them to access the recorded sessions post conference. Members registering for this registration category will still count as meeting attendance per the bylaws requirement. Non-members wishing to register for the recording access will still need an invitation from a member. Please review the annual meeting FAQ page for additional information.

Important Annual Meeting Information

  • Annual Meeting Policies

    Please do not organize any activities (e.g. satellite sessions, scientific board meetings, or social functions) that conflict with scientific sessions of the ACNP Annual Meeting.  If you are invited to attend any such meetings, please inform the meeting organizer that this is in violation of ACNP policy.

    The ACNP name, logo, or the name of the Annual Meeting may not be used in association with any CME activity or outside advertising without the approval of the College. To obtain permission to use the College name for such purposes, please contact the Executive Office (acnp@acnp.org) who will have your request reviewed by the appropriate committee and/or Council. 

    Scientific guests attending the ACNP Annual Meeting must be 21 years of age or older to attend the meeting in person.

  • Invited Guest Policy

    All non-members must receive an invitation from an ACNP member (Member, Fellow, or Emeritus) who is attending the Annual Meeting. Please see the Annual Meeting FAQs for the invited guest policy details and instructions for members to submit requests for invitations.

  • Photography Policy

    Photographing, screenshotting, or recording material presented in a panel, mini-panel, study group or poster session is not allowed. Photographing or screenshotting a speaker before, during or after a session is not allowed. Unauthorized photography, screenshotting, or recording is unfair to the presenters and will have the effect of discouraging our members from presenting their most recent unpublished work.

  • Social Media Policy

    ACNP encourages the use of social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+ and blogging sites to engage our community in the Annual Meeting.  We encourage you to post or tweet highlights about the meeting, discuss your favorite speakers, panels and posters and offer recommendations on which panels and posters to attend.

    When sharing information, we request you refrain from –

    • Photographing, screenshotting, or recording the material presented in panel, mini-panel, study group or poster session. This is unfair to the presenter and will have the effect of discouraging our members from presenting their most recent unpublished work.
    • Using social media to share detailed content of lectures, posters etc., especially when the organizer or speaker has explicitly requested that some or all of the information presented is not to be captured or shared.
    • Photographing or screenshotting speakers before or after a session without their permission.

    Attendees will be eligible to receive the credit hours for attending the 64th ACNP Annual Meeting, January 12-15, 2026.

    There will be a $40.00 charge for scientific registrants to obtain CME credits.

    Physicians

    Nurse Practitioners

    The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) recognizes the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as approved accreditors and allow reciprocity for AANPCP continuing education credit. Up to 25.0 credits for live participation and up to 99.75 for enduring.

    Physician Assistants

    The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) states that AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ are acceptable for continuing medical education requirements for recertification for PAs.

    Amedco LLC designates this live activity for a maximum of 25.0 LIVE AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM for physicians and 99.75 EDURING AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. PAs should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

  • Invitation Banks

    The ACNP offers scientists without an invitation the opportunity to attend the annual meeting through our Annual Meeting Invitation Banks. An ACNP member (Member, Fellow, or Emeritus) must request the invitation for you through one of the following banks:

    General Invitation Bank: ACNP offers up to 50 invitations, accessible only by members, for scientists who who meet the Invited Guest definition. All invited guests must meet one of the following criteria with respect to career stage:

    • At least a 2nd year post-doctoral fellow (both MDs and PhDs) or 3rd or 4th year residents on a research track
    • Faculty at an Instructor level (or similar) or above
    • Scientists in Federal government positions (e.g., NIH, NSF, FDA, ARPA-H, VA, DoD) considered to be equivalent to either criteria #1 or criteria #2
    • If industry, demonstrate a level of leadership and/or responsibility

    Attestation of meeting one of these criteria is required at the time of requested invitation. Documentation may also be required.

    Special Invitation Bank: ACNP offers up to 150 invitations, accessible only by members, for scientists who meet two or more of the following criteria. Members who request the invitation will need to verify that the scientist is eligible per meeting two or more of the criteria below:

    • Were or currently are homeless
    • Were or currently are in the foster care system
    • Were eligible for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program for two or more years
    • Have/had no parents or legal guardians who completed a bachelor’s degree
    • Were or currently are eligible for Federal Pell grants
    • Received support from the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) as a parent or child
    • Grew up in a rural area or in a low-income country
    • Have/had significant social or physical challenges
    • *International Scientists Only* Were considered from a disadvantaged background from your country (if from or currently reside outside the U.S.)

    ACNP will make every effort to keep this information private but cannot guarantee this information would not be unintentionally released within the College. 

    PLEASE NOTE: 

      • Only members attending the meeting may request an invitation from the invitation banks. 
      • Any registered guest with an invitation from the invitation banks may present a poster at the meeting if submitted by the deadline and accepted by the ACNP Program Committee.  
      • Requests for invitation bank invitations should be submitted through the Invitation Request system in the Annual Meeting Submission Site*The Invitation Request portal for the January 2027 Annual Meeting will open this spring.
      • Invitation requests must be submitted by August 26th in order to ensure your guest has ample time to register and submit a poster prior to the poster deadline in late August. Poster submissions will open when registration opens in June. 

     

  • Media Embargo Policy and Abstract Submission Copyright
    • No members of the press are allowed to attend the Annual Meeting unless they attend as an invited guest.
    • Any press release or public promotion by a presenter, the presenter’s employer, or any other outside person or entity about a presentation scheduled for the ACNP Annual Meeting must be embargoed (not released) until the time and date of the presentation.  Additionally, ACNP should not be mentioned or referenced regarding the data or presentation until the first date of the Annual Meeting.  If referenced at that point, it should be clear that the release/posting is not sanctioned by ACNP. This includes any detail of the abstract and the data from the presentation.
    • All materials submitted for presentation at the Annual Meeting will be published in Neuropsychopharmacology and should be original and not previously published. Following publication authors may reuse their work with the sole requirements of full citation and link to the original publication online.
  • Event Request Information

    To obtain approval and request space for a small meeting, please review the requirements and submit the Small Meeting Request Form. All requests will be reviewed by the ACNP Executive Office. It is the policy of ACNP to not allow meetings to happen during scientific sessions.  Groups are not allowed to host events except during these available time slots.  Your adherence to these time frames as to not distract participants from the ACNP scientific program is appreciated.  Any meetings must occur at the following times* or prior to the start of the meeting:

    *Wednesday, January 14th, prior to 9:00 a.m., from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or after 7:00 p.m.
    *Thursday, January 15th, prior to 9:00 a.m., from 11:00 a.m. –  1:00 p.m., or after 7:00 p.m.
