ACNP Statement in Support of Ukraine During this Time of Crisis
Adopted by ACNP Council in March 2022
The American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP) stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and our colleagues with family and friends in Ukraine and surrounding nations as the Ukrainian nation defends itself against military invasion. As a professional, international organization of leading brain scientists, we are concerned about the psychological impacts and immediate and long-term trauma on people of all ages as well as ensuring that patients are receiving the care they need. We hope that peace is reclaimed immediately and that a healthy, sustainable future is restored for all that are impacted.
The American College of Neuropsychopharmacology actively promotes and recognizes principles of fairness, equity, and social justice in relation to, and across, intersections of race, age, color, disability, faith, religion, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, sex, sexual orientation, social class, economic class, ethnicity, gender identity, gender expression, and all other identities represented among our diverse membership.
