“Survival” as defined by non-relapse for the two treatment groups.  All patients were receiving intensive psychosocial intervention.  Relapse to alcoholic drinking in the patients randomized to placebo was 54% at 12 weeks while for those randomized to naltrexone, the proportion relapsing was 23%.
