The pedigree has been altered to preserve confidentiality. The filled symbols are schizophrenics. P50 ratios are shown and coded A for abnormal (> 0.50) or N for normal (< 0.40). Abnormal P50 ratio and schizophrenia are both associated with allele 2 from the parent at right. Sample electroencephalographic (EEG) recordings are shown below, with the P50 indicated by computer-generated marks.
